29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point of operation guards were not designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of their body in the danger zone during the operating cycle: On or about 6/10/2021 - 4400 Kauloosa Avenue Tuscaloosa, AL 35401, in the Machine Shop, at the Marvel Vertical Tilt Bandsaw, Model MV460/2APC: (a) employees operating the machine vise were exposed to caught between pinch point hazards because they were able to place their hand/fingers within the point of operation while the vice was actively closing. (b) employees operating the shuttle vise were exposed to caught between pinch point hazards because they were able to place their hand/fingers within the point of operation while the vice was actively closing.
