29 CFR 1926.502(h)(1)(v): The safety monitor had other responsibilities which could take the monitor's attention from the monitoring function: (a)J&P Roofing Systems, Inc. @ 414 Clark Street, Vermillion, SD 57069: On or about and at times prior to June 14, 2021, the exposing employer did not ensure the safety monitor was not performing work that could take the monitor's attention from the monitoring function. An individual tasked in performing as the monitor was assisting employees clean the roofing while other employees were conducting roofing activity. This condition exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 11 feet.
