29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. (a) On or about 6/25/2021 901 2nd Court West, Birmingham, Al 35204, on the roof, employees replacing steel roofing plates on the roof of a steel framed warehouse were exposed to falls up to 30 feet from the roof to the concrete floor inside the building because the employer did not provide employees with adequate fall protection.
