29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees had not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) The employer is failing to protect employees from potential chemical exposure hazards. This was most recently documented on June 30, 2021 in the worksite located at 3322 Ave I, Scottsbluff, Nebraska. The employees were using hazardous chemicals in the worksite. Employee(s) were not informed or effectively trained on hazardous chemicals in the worksite. Chemicals used in the worksite included but were not limited to: propane, a flammable gas; SRG, a combustible liquid that could cause eye, skin and respiratory irritation if contacted or inhaled.
