29 CFR  1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system.   a) Northwestern Builders Inc., DBA Northwest Roofing, at 805 29th Street, Boulder CO 80303:  On or before July 2, 2021, the controlling employer did not ensure that subcontractor employees were protected from injury, in that four subcontractor employees affixing shingles on the leading edge were not utilizing a fall protection system.  The subcontractor employees were working at the leading edge with pneumatic nailers to affix shingles.  This condition exposed subcontractor employees to a fall of approximately 50 feet.  Northwestern Builders Inc., DBA Northwest Roofing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1498019, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on February 11, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 910 Copper Road, Frisco, CO 80443
