OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to amputation hazards: a) On or about April 22, 2021 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards created by machining Plexiglas, and other synthetic material, using a Grizzly model# G0609X serial# GJ12-0231 jointer, which isn't designed or intended for such use by the manufacturer. This resulted in an employee suffering an right middle finger partial amputation when the synthetic material "kicked back" while being machined.
