29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1):Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. On or about July 13, 2021, at at construction site locate in Montgomery, Texas, employees were exposed to fall hazards while engaged in steel erection on a steel structure more than 15 above a lower level with a person fall arrest system. Noe Escobedo was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1503010, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/20/2021, with respect to a workplace located at 618 Fish Creek Thoroughfare, Montgomery, TX 77316.
