On or about July 26, 2021, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing residential roofing operations were required to work within close proximity to energized lines, thereby exposing employees to electrical hazards.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a. On or about July 26, 2021, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing residential roofing operations seven (7) feet five (5) inches above ground, were not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employees to fall hazards. b. On or about July 26, 2021, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing residential roofing operations nine (9) feet two (2) inches above ground, were not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employees to fall hazards. Michael Betke dba Betke Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1502590, citation number 1, item number 4B, and was affirmed as a final order on May 20, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 1933 W. Greenleaf Ave. in Chicago, Illinois.
