NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On or about 8/3/21 at a roof project located at Home Site 261 Pavement Road, Lancaster, New York; employees were placing shingles on the roof of a two story house. The roof had a 5 in 12 pitch and an eave height of approximately 22 feet. There was no fall protection in use. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED The employer, Jamie Zuppa dba Joyce Construction, was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1402864, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 6/12/19, with respect to a workplace located at 30 Covent Garden Lane, Amherst, New York. The employer, Jamie Zuppa dba Joyce Construction, was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1394886, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 5/24/19, with respect to a workplace located at 156 Wesley Avenue, Buffalo, New York.
