29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): Accident prevention responsibilities. It shall be the responsibility of the employer to initiate and maintain such programs as may be necessary to comply with this part. Such programs shall provide for frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment to be made by competent persons designated by the employers. At a jobsite located at N1585 Skyline Road in Greenville, Wisconsin: On or about August 16, 2021, the contractor did not ensure that a competent person was performing frequent and regular inspections of the jobsite to ensure subcontractor employees were not exposed to fall hazards and struck-by hazards while replacing the roof on a two-story, single-family residence without fall protection or eye protection while using pneumatic nail guns.
