29 CFR 1910.119(d)(3)(ii): The employer did not document that equipment complies with recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices. On or about August 9th, 2021, and at times prior thereto, employees engaged in operating, inspecting, testing, and maintaining activities of covered process equipment when the employer did not comply with recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices of marking and/or labeling of ammonia refrigeration system components in the following instances: a) Missing labeling on -40 transfer vessel in old engine room. b) Seven hand valves missing tags on -40 transfer vessel for old engine room. c) Damaged/missing labeling on -20 re-circulator in old engine room. d) Eight hand valves missing tags on the intercooler in the old engine room. e) A red valve located on high side liquid ammonia piping missing a tag located on new engine room condenser. g) Valve handle on compressor number one in Warehouse #5 missing tag. Schwan's Global Supply Chain, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.119(d)(3)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1213761, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on March 27th, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 3019 Scanlan Ave, Salina, KS 67401.
