29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) TruStile Doors, LLC, 1111 E 71st Ave. DENVER, CO 80229: On and before August 30, 2021, and at times prior, machine guards were not utilized on the Northfield Upcut Saw, Ser #991165-H, to prevent exposure of employees to hazards while cutting operations were being conducted. Employees were able to reach the point of operation of the saw during cutting activities. An employee experienced a fingertip amputation.
