29 CFR 1910.151(c):Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: (a) On or about 9/2/2021 at Silverman-Gorf Inc. employees diluting corrosive chemicals used in electroplating were exposed to corrosive chemicals such as but not limited to Sodium hydroxide 96-100% splashing into the eyes. The employer did not provide suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes for immediate emergency use. (b) On or about 9/2/2021 at Silverman-Gorf Inc. employees dipping and removing parts during the electroplating process were exposed to corrosive chemicals such as but not limited to 20-30% hydrochloric acid splashing into the eyes. The employer did not provide suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes for immediate emergency use.
