MCAS: BEQ buildings 5697/5698: The employer stored three cardboard boxes containing Armacell 520 Adhesive, which is a flammable category 2 liquid, along with several pints that had been opened next to the cases.  The employer had stored and used flammable liquids  without regard to the fire characteristics. The employees were exposed to fire hazards.

The quantity of flammable or combustible liquids maintained in the vicinity of spraying operations were required to be the minimum for operations and ordinarily not to exceed a supply for 1 day or one shift. Bulk storage of portable containers of flammable or combustible liquids were to be in a separate, constructed building detached from other important buildings or cut off in a standard manner.  MCAS: BEQ buildings 5697/5698: inside rooms: Employees were storing multiple cases of flammable category 2 liquids such as Armacell 520 Adhesive which had warning labels of being highly flammable liquid and vapors and may cause flash fire with other employers conducting spray operations. The employer did not ensure product quantity was controlled or stored in a separate flammable locker or detached storage location. The employees were exposed to fire hazards.
