29 CFR 1926.404(b)(1)(iii)(C): The employer did not ensure that each cord set, attachment cap, plug and receptacle of cord sets, and any equipment connected by cord and plug, except cord sets and receptacles which are fixed and not exposed to damage, were visually inspected before each day's use for external defects, such as deformed or missing pins or insulation damage, and for indications of possible internal damage. Building 5698, East 2nd Floor Landing: Employee(s) used a DeWalt Chop Saw to cut metal studs and an extension cord(s) to power tools and/or equipment. The Chop Saw power cord had damage to the outer jacket exposing the inner wires and the red /black extension cord had a missing ground pin. Employees were exposed to electrical shock hazard(s).

29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): Frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment were not made by a competent person(s) designated by the employer: Buildings 5697 and 5698: Employee(s) were mudding, taping, and and/or installing drywall metal studs. The employer did not ensure their safety program was implemented for the site specific work environment to include frequent inspections of the jobsite, materials, and equipment. Inspections were not completed by a competent person who was capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees, and who has the authority to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate them. Employee(s) were exposed to hazards such as but not limited to electrical shock hazards.
