29 CFR  1926.652(b): The slopes and configurations of sloping and benching systems were not in accordance with the requirement options of 29 CFR 1926.652(b)(1), (b)(2), (b)(3), or (b)(4).   On or about September 8, 2021, three workers were uncovering an existing natural gas pipe in an excavation up to approximately 13 feet deep without appropriate sloping and benching, exposing workers to a cave-in hazard.
