29 CFR  1910.102(a):Cylinders. Employers must ensure that the in-plant transfer, handling, storage, and use of acetylene in cylinders comply with the provisions of CGA Pamphlet G-1-2009 ("Acetylene")  a) The employer did not store an acetylene cylinder in accordance with CGA Pamphlet G-1-2009 ("Acetylene"), which states the following: Acetylene cylinders should not be stored in close proximity to oxygen cylinders. Unless separated by a minimum distance of 20 feet (6.1 m), a noncombustible partition 5 feet (1.5 m) high having a fire-resistive rating of at least 1 hour should be between stored acetylene cylinders and oxygen cylinders. An Acetylene cylinder was stored next to an oxygen cylinder at the facility exposing employees to a fire hazard.   In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
