No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2)(i): Footings were not level, sound, rigid, and capable of supporting the loaded scaffold without settling or displacement: a) On or about September 21, 2021, at the above addressed jobsite, the tubular welded frame scaffold that was provided to employees performing masonry work fifteen (15') feet six (3") inches above the ground, was not erected with level, sound and rigid footing. The footings and sill plates were displaced on numerous footings, thereby exposing the employee to falls. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

Crossbraces were used as a means of access. a) On or about September 21, 2021, at the above addressed jobsite, employees conducting masonry operations from a tubular welded frame scaffold, fifteen (15') feet three (3") inches above the ground, were not provided with an access ladder, thereby exposing the employee to falls. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
