29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about September 24, 2021, at the jobsite located at 720 Eisenhower Dr Kimberly, WI, eight employees were exposed to fall hazards of more than 44' without being protected from falling by a conventional form of fall protection. The employees were removing shingles on the steep slope roof of a five-story hotel.
