29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program are understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls are acquired by employees: a.) JN Pallet Company, LLC - On or about 9/20/21, employees were not trained to utilize lockout/tagout procedure when unjamming wood from the pallet stringer. An employee removed a jammed stringer without deenergizing the equipment and was injured by moving parts. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

JN Pallet Company, LLC - On or about 9/20/21, employees did not lockout the pallet stringer when clearing wood jams. An employee removed a jammed stringer without conducting lockout/tagout and was injured by moving parts.
