29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1):The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. On or about October 27, 2021, at jobsite located in 175 Hawthorne Ave.., Elmhurst, IL 60126, employees were exposed to eye injuries while framing and using the nail guns and reciprocating saws. Eye protection was not being utilized while employees engaged in this activity. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure. On or about October 27, 2021 at jobsite located in 175 Hawthorne., Elmhurst, IL. 60126, employees were exposed to fall hazards in approximately 25 feet while engaged in residential framing activities. Fall protection was not being utilized while performing framing activities. MAS Carpentry Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1334923, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 2, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 16W603 Whit Pine Rd. Bensenville, IL 60106. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)
