29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1):The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation:    a) 96 Hickory Dr., Quakertown -  On or about September, 28, 2021,  employees were observed using pneumatic nail guns while performing roofing work without the use of eye protection as required by this section.   Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):    a) 96 Hickory Dr., Quakertown -  On or about September, 28, 2021,  six employees were observed performing roofing work on a single story house approximately 10 feet above grade level without any means of fall protection.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR  1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee exposed to fall hazards to enable them to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to follow in order to minimize them.   a) 96 Hickory Dr., Quakertown -  On or about September, 28, 2021,  six employees were observed performing roofing work on a single story house approximately 10 feet above grade level without any means of fall protection and the employer did not provide training on fall protection as required by this section.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1): The side rails of portable ladders used for access did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface, or was secured at its top to a rigid support that will not deflect and along with a grasping devise to assist employees mounting and dismounting the ladder.   a) 96 Hickory Dr., Quakertown -  On or about September, 28, 2021,  an aluminum extension ladder, used by employees to access the roof was observed with the side rails not extending at least 3 feet above the landing surface as required by this section.   Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
