29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) On or about November 08, 2021 - 375 Coosa Road, Boaz, AL, employees were exposed to caught-by hazards at the plastic slide that was used to bridge the gap between the two belt conveyors moving boards toward the corner neat the operator's console. (b) On or about November 08, 2021 - 375 Coosa Road, Boaz, AL, employees were exposed to caught-by hazards at the plastic slide that was used to bridge the gap between the belt conveyor and the scan machine's first set of transport chains and when the gap between the belt and the conveyor's end roller was not guarded.
