29 CFR 1910.1000(a)(2): Employee(s) were exposed to an airborne concentration of Particulates Not Otherwise Regulated (PNOR)(Respirable Fraction) listed in Table Z-1 in excess of the 8-hour Time-Weighted Average concentration of 5 milligrams per cubic meter of air: a) In the facility, on or about March 22, 2022 - An employee designated as an abrasive blaster was exposed to respirable dust (PNOR) at a time-weighted average (TWA) level of 15.8 milligrams per cubic meter of air, approximately 3.2 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 5 milligrams per cubic meter of air. The employee was utilizing brown fused alumina as the blasting medium. The exposure level is derived from one sample collected over a 402-minute period. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled period of time (78-minutes).
