29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. On or about December 10, 2021, on a residential apartment building under construction, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard exceeding 6 feet when conducting decking activities without a fall protection system. Juan Giron was previously cited for violation of an equivalent Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501 (b)(13), which was contained in OSHA Inspection number 1559099, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 12-02-2021, with respect to the same worksite located at 172 Ravenwood Village Drive, Huntsville, TX 77320.
