General-duty citation text
29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: At the workplace located at 898 East Commercial, Mansfield, Missouri 65704, employees were exposed to serious caught-in and crushed-by point of operation hazards when placing parts in a jig to be welded. The jig has magnets to hold the parts in place until the jig is closed. However, the magnets don't always hold the parts in place and have to be held by hand until the jig closes. This caused the injured employee to have his finger partially amputated. This was documented on or about 12/08/2021.
