29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1):Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating condition(s): On or about January 5, 2022, employees working near and operating the Crown RC3000 forklift were exposed to struck-by hazards because the horn was not working and the employer did not remove the equipment from service. THE B & K TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS INC. DBA ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY RECYCLING WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1533821, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 2 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS FINAL ORDER ON NOVEMBER 18, 2021, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 902 N HAZEL STREET, PONTIAC, IL 61764.
