29 CFR  1926.403(b)(1): Employer did not ensure that electrical equipment is free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees:    a) The Battery Apartments located at 2801 Windy Ridge Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30339, NW Parking Deck Stairway between 2nd and 3rd floor: On or about 01/12/2022, the employer failed to inspect all electrical cords used to power the 1/2-inch Rigid (Model R7122VN) Spade Handle Mud Mixer used to mix grout, in that an inspection of the electrical cords and electrical equipment was not inspected prior to use as the cord powering the tool had a damaged strain relief and a cord which was taped and damaged from previous use  and  was not repaired or removed from service before the start of the shift.  b) The Battery Apartments located at 2801 Windy Ridge Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30339, 3rd floor parking deck into NW stairway: On or about 01/12/2022, the employer failed to inspect all electrical extension cords used to provide power to the 1/2-inch Rigid (Model R7122VN) Spade Handle Mud Mixer, in that the 100-ft. cord used to provide power from the Lincoln 250 GXT Ranger Welded has a damaged protective casing, damaged strain relief, and internal copper wires were exposed as the internal insulated wires were damaged. An inspection of these cords were not performed prior to the shift as these cords were not repaired or removed from service.
