29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(iv): Employee(s) working in an aerial lift were sitting or climbing on the edge of the basket: (a) At 903 Monroe Street, Huntsville, AL: On or about May 2, 2024, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards in that employees were climbing the railings of the aerial lift basket to enter and exit the equipment. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

At 903 Monroe Street, Huntsville, AL; On or about May 2, 2024, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that fall protection was not used while operating the aerial lifts throughout the jobsite. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.
