29 CFR 1910.37(e):Employer did not install and maintain an operable employee alarm system that had a distinctive signal to warn employees of fire or other emergencies: a) Deist, LLC dba Bucks Manufacturing, various areas throughout the facility, on or about February 9th, 2022 and times prior thereto: The employer did not have an employee alarm system that was functional in the event of an emergency. b) Deist, LLC dba Bucks Manufacturing, various areas throughout the facility, on or about February 9th, 2022 and times prior thereto: The employee alarm system was not distinctively recognizable in that, a "PA system" was utilized during a fire incident on January 13th, 2022. The "PA system" did not function appropriately during the incident to alert employees of the fire. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.107(b)(5)(iv):Space within the spray booth on the downstream and upstream sides of filters were not protected with approved automatic sprinklers: a) Deist, LLC dba Bucks Manufacturing, North and South paint booth areas, on or about February 9th, 2022 and times prior thereto: Automatic sprinklers or other approved extinguishing equipment had not been installed on the downstream and upstream sides of filters in the North and South paint booths. Throughout each work shift, employees were potentially exposed to a fire hazard at the employer's paint booths where flammable materials were sprayed. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

Deist, LLC dba Bucks Manufacturing, North and South paint booth areas, on or about February 9th, 2022 and times prior thereto: Employees perform spray painting/coating operations in the North and South paint booths with flammable liquids. Various containers of flammable liquids were stored next to the South booth. The quantities of flammable liquids that were stored next to the South booth were greater than the minimum required for spraying operations for one day and one shift. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below).
