29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a- Camelot Development, Building 3, Toms River NJ - Five workers were exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 25 feet to the ground surface below, when accessing and egressing a commercial structure's pitched roof using an unsecure, portable, aluminum extension ladder whose side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above the surface being accessed. Condition observed on or about 02/24/22.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a- Camelot Development, Building 3, Toms River NJ - Five workers were exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 25 feet to the ground surface below, when accepting roof shingles from an onsite crane and performing other related activities from a commercial building's pitched roof while wearing full body harnesses that were not attached to anchor point(s) with lanyards or other approved means. Condition observed on or about 02/24/22. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
