29 CFR  1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment.   (a) IPG area, heater element brazing station - On or about March 2, 2022, the employer did not adequately assess the workplace for hazards and ensure employees used appropriate protective equipment. An employee performing torch brazing was not utilizing a flame-resistant apron and was not protected from burns.  (b) Production area, Wendel machines - On or about March 2, 2022, the employer did not adequately assess the workplace for hazards and ensure employees used appropriate protective equipment. Chemical resistant gloves were not utilized by Wendel machine operators and they were not protected from absorption or skin irritation from the oils they spray into the machine.
