29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) On or about March 3, 2022, the employer did not ensure one or more methods of machine guarding were provided to protect the operator from rotating parts on a Olocco Rotary Valve, Model No. RS230. The inadequately guarded rotating parts of the Regrind Scraps Unit exposed employees to laceration and amputation hazards.
