29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(iii): Employees who participated as hazardous materials technicians, or were expected to participate as hazardous materials technicians, had not received at least 24 hours of training equal to the first responder operations level, and in addition have competency in the areas outlined in 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(iii)(A) through (q)(6)(iii)(I):   Line F Fill Room inside EMCO Chemical Distributors, Inc. located at 1900 Westgate Drive, Columbia, IL 62236:   On or about 3-14-22, employee hazardous materials technician participating in an emergency response to a chemical reaction involving Divinyl Benzene had not received at least 24 hours of training equal to the first responder operations level, and additional competencies including:   (A)	Knowledge to implement the employer's emergency response plan. (B)	Knowledge of the classification, identification and verification of known and unknown materials by using field survey instruments and equipment. (C)	Ability to function within an assigned role in the Incident Command System. (D)	Knowledge to select and use proper specialized chemical personal protective equipment provided to the hazardous materials technician. (E)	Understanding of hazard and risk assessment techniques. (F)	Ability to perform advance control, containment, and/or confinement operations within the capabilities of the resources and personal protective equipment available with the unit. (G)	Understand and implementation of decontamination procedures. (H)	Understanding of termination procedures. (I)	Understanding of basic chemical and toxicological terminology and behavior.
