29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system. a) Sea Glass Apartments at 32815 Azure Avenue Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971: On or about March 16, 2022, the employer failed to ensure employees used fall protection while working approximately 41 feet above the grade, exposing employees to fall hazards. Delmarva Roofing & Coating, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1530769, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on December 8, 2021 with respect to a workplace located at The Hyatt House at 17254 Five Points Square Lewes, DE 19958.
