29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a- 635 NJ-33 Business, Freehold NJ: Workers were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 16 feet 2 inches to the ground surface below, when working from a commercial structure's pitched roof while wearing full body harnesses that were not attached to anchors with lanyards or another approved means. Condition observed on or about 03/22/22. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
