29 CFR 1918.22(b): Each side of the gangway, and the turntable if used, did not have a hand rail with a minimum height of 33 inches (0.84 m)(measured perpendicularly from rail to walking surface at the stanchion) and a midrail. a) F/V Eastern Wind: Gangway/turntable, on or about March 21, 2022, a chain link rail measured approximately 30" at its highest point, exposing employees to fall hazards when entering and or exiting the vessel.
