29 CFR 1910.22(a)(3): Walking-working surfaces are not maintained free of hazards such as sharp or protruding objects, loose boards, corrosion, leaks, spills, snow, and ice: (a) Red River Energy, LLC at 47333 104th Street, Rosholt, SD 27260: On or about and at times prior to April 5, 2022, the employer did not ensure walking/working surfaces were adequately maintained in that snow and ice build-up on and en route to the sampling areas at Fermentation Tank 6, and Tank Farm 1 were not removed. This condition exposed employees to slip, trip and fall hazards. (b) Red River Energy, LLC at 47333 104th Street, Rosholt, SD 27260: On or about and at times prior to April 5, 2022, the employer did not ensure walking/working surfaces were adequately maintained in that metal grates used for flooring and stairs in and around the facility presented uneven travel surfaces. This condition exposed employees to slip, trip and fall hazards. (c) Red River Energy, LLC at 47333 104th Street, Rosholt, SD 27260: On or about and at times prior to April 5, 2022, the employer did not ensure that walking and working surfaces were maintained in a safe manner in that standing water and mud accumulation surrounding Port T-1006 and T-1005 was regularly present requiring employees to walk through the conditions to take test samples. This condition exposed employees to slip, trip, and fall hazards.
