29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) JBC Department - On or about 4/15/2022, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards in that, the employer failed to ensure that Peerless Chunker machine (Model # RDF20 & SL # 220003) was provided with a method of machine guarding while employees were operating the chunker machine for processing the bread dough.

29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: a) JBC Department - On or about 4/21/2022, the employer exposed employees to electric shock hazards and struck-by hazards in that, the employer failed to develop and utilize machine specific LO/TO procedures for Peerless Chunker machine (Model # RDF20 & SL # 220003) while employees performed servicing and maintenance activities on the chunker machine. Repeat - Kerry Inc., was previously cited for a serious violation of the same occupational safety and health standard and hazard of 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection # 1533958, Citation 1, Item 1 and was affirmed as final order on 09/23/2021, with respect to a workplace located at 1226 South Water Street, Manitowoc, WI 54221.
