29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On or about 4/22/2022, at the roof area of the site, located at 1 Pratt Avenue, Chautauqua, NY. Employees, who worked in the 6 in 12 steep roof; including tearing-off old roof and installing new roof, were not protected from falling by fall protection systems when employees unhooked the previous safety rope first before hooking up a new rope. Employees were exposed to fall hazard of approximately 55 feet. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED Jamestown Roofing Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1544654, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/14/2021, with respect to a workplace located at 34 Sunset Drive, Lakewood, NY 14750 .
