29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. On or about May 26, 2022, the employer did not ensure walking-working surfaces were neat and orderly, exposing employees to slip, trip, fall, and fire hazards. The floor and walking routes of the work areas contained pallets of unused materials, tooling, and equipment as well as some materials with sharp edges and protrusions.
