OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to inhalation and burn hazards from nitric acid and steam from unlabeled pipe lines: a) On or about 6/3/2022, throughout the facility, employees were exposed to hazards from inadvertent release of nitric acid, steam, and other hazardous materials contained in pipe lines, because the pipe lines were not labeled or identified, and did not show direction of flow, to protect employees from unintended exposure such as by inadvertently turning valves or disconnecting pipes containing hazardous materials.
