29 CFR 1910.243(c)(4): The angular exposure on the grinding wheel periphery and sides for safety guard(s) used on portable grinding machine(s) exceeded 180 degrees: At 2431 Stephens Blvd Joplin, MO, employees were exposed to caught in and struck by hazards while conducting grinding activities without appropriate machine guarding. A DeWalt handheld grinder located in the weld/fabrication shop was found to have an inadequate guard, exposing more than 180 degrees of angular exposure on the grinding wheel.

29 CFR 1910.254(d)(9)(iii): Cables with damaged insulation or exposed bare conductors were not replaced: At 2431 Stephens Blvd Joplin, MO Employees were exposed to electric shock hazards while conducting welding activities. A Miller welding machine located in the weld/fabrication shop was found to have had a damaged electrical cable, which exposed the bare copper wiring underneath the insulation.
