29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v):A body belt was not worn and/or a lanyard was not attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift: a. On or about June 14, 2022, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee performing exterior framing operations from a JLG aerial lift, approximately nine (9') feet above the ground, was not wearing a personal fall arrest system, thereby exposing the employee to fall hazards. b. On or about June 14, 2022, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee performing exterior framing operations from a JLG 460SJ aerial lift, approximately nine (9') feet above the ground, and driving on the road was not wearing a personal fall arrest system, thereby exposing the employee to fall hazards. Schmidt Steel Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1329453 , citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on October 23, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 115 E. Maple St., New Lenox, IL 60451.
