29 CFR 1926.651(c)(2): A stairway, ladder, ramp, or other safe means of egress was not located in trench excavations that were 4 feet (1.22m) or more in-depth so as to require no more than 25 feet (7.62m) of lateral travel for employees: (a) At 222-223 Kingsbay St Kingshill, VI 00850 - On or about 06/15/2022, the compliance officer observed 12 employees tying rebar mats on a 110 ft Wide x 120 ft long and 21 ft deep excavation. All employees were working inside the excavation without a ladder or other safe means of ingress or egress. NOTE: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by CFR 1903.19(c).
