29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a) Timber-End Shop: Employees pumped the corrosive chemical, Simoniz Alum-Brite, into a secondary container, and the employer did not ensure that an appropriate emergency eyewash was located in close proximity for immediate emergency use, on or about July 6, 2022. b) Outside of the Transfer Station: Employees performed trailer cleaning with the corrosive chemical, Simoniz Alum-Brite, and the employer did not ensure that an appropriate emergency eyewash was located in close proximity for immediate emergency use, on or about July 6, 2022. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED ABATEMENT NOTE: An appropriate emergency eyewash, and its location, shall meet the requirements of ANSI Z358.1.
