29 CFR  1910.178(q)(7): Industrial trucks were not examined before being placed in service:  (a) On or about June 27, 2022 - Warehouse, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards when daily shift inspections did not include recommended checks by the manufacturer (Raymond) such as, but not limited to, verification that plugging works correctly and that the directional/speed control returns to neutral when released.  The daily shift inspection sign-off sheet included brakes (the stand up forklift did not have a brake pedal but did have a deadman pedal) and emergency brake  (the stand up forklift did not have an emergency brake pedal but did have an EPO-Emergency Power Off button that should be checked to verify that travel, lift, and auxiliary functions are disabled when pushed in).
