Employees performing work in this condition were exposed to fall hazards up to 25 ft to the ground below.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1):The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) Canaan Companies, Inc On or about August 04, 2022, at the site location of 9047 Sandridge Holland, OH: The employer did not ensure employees had been trained in appropriate use of fall protection such as, but not limited to, the use of personal fall arrest systems or alternative measures prior to performing framing activities from elevated surfaces. Employees performing work in this condition were exposed to falls over 19 feet to the surface below. Canaan Companies Inc was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1926.503(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number1331276, citation number 1, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on October 9, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 8256 West Central Ave Sylvania OH.
