29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1):Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. On or about August 17, 2022, employees were exposed to a fall of approximately 17 feet while performing deck fastening activities during the steel erection process on a commercial building located at 705 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio 44256. The employees were working on all areas of the roof and the employer did not ensure that they were using fall protection.
