Employee, working in the ceiling area installing styrofoam shields, did not wear hard hat to protect possible danger of head injury from impact. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4):Ladder(s) were used for purposes other than the purpose for which they were designed: a) On or about 8/24/2022, at the second floor area of the site, North Tonawanda, NY. Employee, while installing styrofoam shield in the ceiling area, stepped one foot on a 8-foot step ladder and another foot on standing drywall panels. Step ladder was not used for the purpose for which they were designed. Employee was exposed to fall of 6 feet. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
